Introduction to ChiroGlobal
My name is Tilda Hughes, I’m seventeen years old and the daughter of two chiropractors
Chiropractic has always been a huge part of my life, ever since I was young – especially since both of my parents work within that field – but it has only really been in the last few years that I have come to appreciate the incredible effect that it can have, because chiropractic is not just about treating bodies, it’s about treating people. At the end of the day, the effect you have on a person’s body is often secondary to the way that you make them feel emotionally; this is something I learned when I found out more about chiropractic, and I came to realise that the reason people left the clinic feeling so good was because they felt looked after and safe. When you have a job, you often forget to appreciate the work that you’re doing which makes it loose purpose and feeling, but with chiropractic, because the main goal is helping people, it’s difficult not to love it. This is why I created the ChiroGlobal campaign: I wanted to showcase the immense joy and satisfaction that revolves around the worldwide chiropractic community and to prove to people that loving your job is the best way to make a difference because you then feel motivated give your all into each aspect of your work.
A one-minute video doesn’t seem like much but when it comes down to it, the smallest things can make a difference; in my opinion, as long as something is significant to the person watching it, then it has fulfilled its purpose.
I came up with the #chiroglobal campaign because I saw the impact that my mother had on people in our area and also how she wanted to try to reach people all around the globe. She has always inspired me to make a difference so I thought that I would do that through the passion that she shared with so many other chiropractors around the world. Not only does this campaign show the widespread influence of chiropractic, but it also proves that it comes from a place of love and joy. Please send your video to us at lucksyard.ig@gmail.com to join in on the fun. Tilda #spreadthenews #chiroglobal #worldwidechiropractic #chiro #chiropractic #surrey #england #lucksyardclinic

Here’s what they have been saying …
ChiroGlobal goes to Scotland. Donald Francis is one of the most inspirational and bright Chiropractors out there. I had the pleasure of seeing him at a conference recently and he so kindly gave us a ChiroGlobal film for our campaign in aid of World Spine Day. Donald runs Tweed Chiropractic and works in several clinics on the Scottish borders. He graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in USA in 2009. This is what Donald says: ‘I love chiropractic because of what it does for the people we work with. I think of some of the patients and wonder where their lives would be without it. Chiropractic is a great big broad profession with many facets and many different viewpoints and philosophies. Chiropractic is a profession in my opinion of good, better and best. You can aim for good; it might be just out of pain, or better than what you are. Or you could go for your best. I love chiropractic. Through chiropractic I have changed many lives and chiropractic has changed mine.’ Thank you Donald for your ChiroGlobal contribution. We are so grateful for your support. Chiropractic is a wonderful contribution to healthcare where we aim to empower our patients to take ownership of their own wellbeing. Here we have Lara Cawthra with her ChiroGlobal video. This is the last video that we have, however, if you or anyone that you know who would still like to join the campaign, then please do send in the videos as we would like to continue spreading the message of this campaign around the world. Lara's credentials are incredibly impressive and include a Bachelor of Science (University of Sydney) in 1994. Master of Chiropractic (Macquarie University) 1996, Master of Chiropractic Science (Paeds) - RMIT -2003, Fellow RCC Specialist Faculty Pregnancy and Paeds 2010. Chair RCC Specialist Faculty Pregnancy and Paeds. She has achieved this array of qualifications due to her want and need to learn. Chiropractic is one such environment where learning is a huge part of your daily life, and there are so many different areas that you can familiarise and integrate yourself into, which in the end will only help you refine and develop your own style of treatment. The individuality within this profession is incredible and can give practitioners the ability to hone in on their own individual interests and passions and yet also experience a wide array of other treatment methods and specialities. Lara is a great example of someone who is making use of the environment and resources around her, in order to become the best chiropractor she can be. Thank you all for giving us the opportunity to create the amazing ChiroGlobal campaign this year in aid of World Spine Day 2918. •Tilda and Tone

All the way from Brazil, we finally have Marco Lannuzzi! Marco’s story is truly inspirational as it shows that you must have the stamina and passion to follow you dreams: He has had plenty of hurdles to jump over and yet he kept going because he knew that chiropractic was his calling. After many years and across two different continents, he finally achieved his goal, and might I say that he has gone on to do incredible things. He is proof that you can do anything with your life as long as you have the drive and passion to keep on going. This story really proves that chiropractic is an amazing profession as even before entering it, people know that they will be willing to make sacrifices and work hard to enter the community as in the end, they know how many people they will be able to help, and how fulfilling their job will be. ChiroGlobal- Martin RosenThe man, the myth, the legend: Here we have Dr Martin Rosen with his ChiroGlobal message. To hear so much passion from someone who has been in the same profession for over 30 years is truly inspiring, and also proves my point that chiropractic has so much variation and excitement within it that it would be very difficult to get bored as you are constantly learning new things and treating new people. Martin's video covers so many different points, so to prove how diverse chiropractic is, I thought that I should list each of the individual points that he made. - It gives you a purpose (that is beyond you) - You can touch so many different people and change their lives in a positive way. - You recieve so many reasons to stay positive and enthusiastic about your job everyday (which few other people can experience) - You can witness the healing progression through 3 generations. - You can help people to heal and maintain their life-style throughout their life. -You will experience challenges that help growth within your proffession. - The chiropractic philosophy provides a strong foundation upon which to grow a positive and stable family. - It provides enjoyment and happiness. - It allows you to live a rich and fulfilling life. Martin spreads his amazing message and philosophy across the globe through his teaching and he has inspired many people both within and outside of the chiropratic community, so it is a great honour to have him take part in our campaign. A lovely #chiroglobal video from Catherine Quinn, the President of the BCA. In this video she has mentioned numerous reasons that I have already spoken about in detail on previous videos, so instead I will talk about the overall message that she is conveying here. This message is that chiropractic is a community that helps: they help their patients get better; the help other chiropractors develop and refine their skills; they even help people outside of the community by educating them on ways to protect and take care of their bodies. The very foundation of chiropractic is based off of making others feel healthier and better within themselves. This is why Chiropractors are so happy in their jobs- everyday they get the satisfaction of knowing that they have helped someone along on their health journey, but also that they have fulfilled their role as a chiropractor. Here is Steve Williams from South Hampton, UK, with his #ChiroGlobal video. As Steve said, chiropractic can have an incredible impact on a persons life and future by relieving them of ailments which could hold them back from achieving their true potential. I think that one of the beautiful things about chiropractic is that the patient does not necessarily need to express their pain/ discomfort with words as often the body speaks for itself and through some testing, a chiropractor can uncover the true cause of the ailment. This example is especially prevalent in babies as they are unable to annunciate their pain using words, yet they can still benefit a lot from chiropractic care. That is why it is such an amazing profession; chiropractors speak not only to their patients, but also to the patients body. #chiroglobal #chiroglobalcampaign #lucksyard #uk #chiro #chiropractic #chiropractor #makeyourspinesmile

With her #chiroglobal video, we have Beth Hunter who works at Cromwell Chiropractic in Central Otago, New Zealand. What she said about her daughter really resonated with me as I was once in a similar situation as both my parents are chiropractors. Even a 3 year old can gather that chiropractic is about ‘fixing’ people, and that is the great thing about it: You don’t need all of the scientific know how to understand that something is working, or that you feel better. On one hand, chiropractic can be about educating people about their own bodies, but on a simpler level, chiropractic is helping people fix their bodies. #chiroglobalcampaign #makeyourspinesmile #chiro #chiropractic #chiropractor #lucksyard #newzealand

Here is Chris Chippendale from South East England with his #ChiroGlobal video. As Chris said, chiropractic is all about opening doors, and whether those are new doors or doors that people have had shut for a while, chiropractic gives patients the opportunity to experience/ re experience new things. Chiropractic is all about rehabilitation and helping people return to or get to their best health; by doing this, people are then exposed to things that they were unable to to before. I have heard countless stories people coming back to their chiropractor and telling them about all of the things that they can now do now that they’re better. I know that from personal and external experience that chiropractic gives people the ability to experience things that they could only dream of, and that is why I, and many others, think that it is an amazing profession to be a part of on some way.
