We are incredibly excited to be key speakers at the 1851 Trust’s Girls in STEM event, for the 2nd year in a row, held on March 8that the at the INEOS TEAM UK building in Portsmouth.
The event marks the beginning of Science Week and is fundamental in inspiring an “I Can” attitude in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) for Year 7 and 8 girls. This way they can make confident and informed subject choices ahead of their GCSEs.
Tone Tellefsen and Melissa Carter will be speaking as ‘Learning Warriors’, women who have careers that can positively influence the future generations.
Their presentation focuses on Growth Mindset, purposefully promoting self-belief, resilience and creativity – key values that will enable more young women to pursue STEM subjects.
